Professional Makeup Mirror
I went and got my eyebrows waxed… ?
I went and got my eyebrows waxed by a professional, they look really nice, and everything went well. At least thats what I thought. I got home, and washed my face, to get the excess wax off. My eyebrows were looking good and I was extremely happy. Today while at work, I checked in the mirror, and I saw that I had tiny little pimples (yes, pimples) on my face where the wax had been. All of the area that the wax had touched, is now infested with pimples. What caused this????! Makeup makes it look funny… what should I do???
when you get any hairs plucked or waxed, you are creating tiny tiny holes or wounds in the skin. if bacteria get into them, you can get pimples.
was the technician who waxed the brows clean? did he/she apply a lotion on them afterwards to protect the holes? did you touch your new brows a lot and get them dirty?
did you wash your face thoroughly as soon as you got home from the salon? i always wash my face right when i get home with lots of cold water and cleanser.
it could just be a case of first time waxing sensitivity, it’ll get better over time but make certain the conditions before, during, and after, are clean. please tell the waxer next time what happened today and let them know you don’t want it to happen so please help.
